| The 70-284 exam explores the new features found in Microsoft’s premier messaging product, Exchange Server 2003. As with all recent Microsoft exams, a strong understanding of Active Directory is a prerequisite for this certification. Successful completion of this exam provides the candidate with Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) status, and counts as an elective for both the Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 certification and the Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA) on Microsoft Windows Server 2003 certification. This exam also counts as a core credit for both the MCSA - Messaging and MCSE Messaging certifications.
